Sympathy flowers sent to the home do wonders to heal a wounded heart. Showing the family you care with a gift of flowers is to show your condolences while at the same time sharing your grief. Funeral flower etiquette typically suggests sending either a sympathy flower arrangement or basket as shown below, but there are also nice alternative gift options available to help lighten up a dreary atmosphere. A common gift alternative is a blooming plant because they can last a lifetime and show your eternal remorse for their loss because they continually bloom again. Another alternative sympathy gift option is a gift food basket, whether it's a traditional fruit basket or our special junk food basket, we have a large variety of gift food baskets available to feed those in mourning.

Recently when my cousin's husband died, the funeral arrangements were made in their old hometown in Indiana (a 7hr. one-way ride for me). So I couldn't make it. As a result, I got on the Internet to "see" the Sympathy flowers available for purchase. It was a huge success. My cousins said the flowers were gorgeous!! They were so good that the widow took them from the funeral home. They lasted in her sisters house for about a week.
